Never heard of this guy! But I really enjoyed this work. Sounds like Hindemith would have been influenced by him. Also some Wagner/Bruckner allusions in the second movement. Didn’t sound very Hungarian though, even with the variations. It’s definitely worth exploring more of his music.
Apparently, none of his symphonies were published during his lifetime.
Absolutely worth listening to, and would be even better in concert.
