Friedrich Gulda plays the Prelude and Fugue No. 1 from “The Well-Tempered Clavier” on the clavichord, an instrument familiar to Bach. It was even capable of vibrato, as you can hear partway through the video.

Expertly played, and that vibrato is a nice touch, but does this instrument have to sound so awfully out of tune? It does not feel “well tempered” at all.
