Marvelous! No wonder i have been saying for a while now that pianistic style of YW is close to that of MA. But in this case i like Yuja’s interpretation even more than her older colleague’s: she manages to create a sound world that is specifically suited to Scarlatti rather than “generic” grand piano brilliance and therefore gets closer to ABM’s towering achievements in these pieces.

Just terrific. I completely agree with MarK on his assessment. Saw her play Bartok 1 with the LA Phil this past weekend and that was also terrific.
