Not one of this composer’s masterpieces… To be fair, final movements of string quartets rarely are. The performance is technically respectable, but the quality of their sound is less than stellar.
Really? I think the piece is quite interesting and successful. (I did hear a better performance of it live, a while back.)
To me this movement sounds carefully crafted, but neither interesting nor successful.
I liked it.
