Gotta love Liberty Bell. And gotta love the Proms. I think it’s one of the few times the Brits allow themselves to be blatantly patriotic, to the point of being literally flag-waving.

I’m sure like most people in that audience, my first exposure to this great march was from Monty Python.
That’s great! Although of course I grew up playing the Sousa marches in bands, none of those elegant strings for us!
What was your instrument, Lisa? I always loved playing marches, by Sousa and others.
