When writing about the tour, you have omitted the fact that it ends in Boston’s Symphony Hall.
Thanks, MarK. Correction made online and in print.
Mark, not all symphonic music in SoCal is at the LA Phil, the Pasadena, or the Pacific. Are you aware that Christopher Russell is conducting what is only the second performance of Alan Pettersson’s marvelous 7th Symphony this coming Tuesday, March 5th, at Azusa-Pacifc University? Russell is not only head of the Orange County High School of the Arts classical music department and an Upbeat Live lecturer at the La Phil, but an adventurous conductor who has introduced local audiences to neglected composers such as Havergal Brian. I suspect the Pettersson will knock you out, and I hope you go and review what will be only it’s second American performance in over 30 years–both Pettersson and Russell deserve the attention.
Sorry, Tim. Meant Tim.
