Oh, lord.
A local chorus whose director does a lot of admirable work put on Elijah a year or two back. I knew a few people singing in the chorus, so I went….
…..and left after the first half. I have never admired Handel’s genius more.
Hahaha. From the moment I saw the title of the post, I laughed out loud and knew it’d be a classic read. And it was. Wonder if we would’ve gotten the gem of that Tom Jones reference without the pain you had to go through the past two years. Too bad you couldn’t have used it for the OCR, but perhaps you don’t get to write your own titles?
Speaking of Welsh crooners, based on both your comments and Lisa’s, I don’t think I’ll need to crack open the Bryn Terfel double CD set of “Elijah” that we got years ago on sale and is still in plastic wrap.
