There are quite a few of these types of videos making the rounds. This is one of the better ones, I think. The kid knows the music, that’s for sure. And I’ve never seen a conductor pick his nose before.
Hat tip to Joan.

This is priceless! Boy, that kid really does know and feel the music all the way through. He’s certainly not phoning it in!
Wonderful. And he’s having so much fun. At first I thought maybe he’s just reacting, but he seems clearly to be familiar with the music.
This one is definitely one of the best out there. I’ve had quite a few conductors stand in front of me with worse technique.
Another one of my favorites is this one of a five-year old conducting The Rite of Spring:
His stick technique isn’t quite as good, but you gotta give him some props for getting the rhythms right. Besides, it’s Rite of Spring with a 5-yr old — what more could you want??
Yeah, CK, I’ve seen that one too, and it’s a goodie.
Thanks Tim. This video of a budding afficionado made my day!. The little man’s unbridled joy and passion for the music was utterly infectious. If all little children possed such familiarity and enthusiasm at this early stage in their lives, our concert halls might be filled to capacity for generations to come. Kudos to the parents who obviously have planted the seeds early for a lifetime appreciation of classical music.
